A message from our CEO and COO

Like all companies, United Technologies Corporation seeks the most innovative and competitive suppliers to help us maintain our competitive advantages. We spent the 1990s working on internal efficiencies and cost and with great success. In the last several years we have worked aggressively with our supply base and as real partners to drive out inefficiencies between us and enable lower cost and the highest quality throughout UTC.

Minority business enterprises (MBE) have been essential to this supplier rebirth. In 2006, MBEs provided $275 million worth of products and services to UTC. In 2007 we expect to achieve our goal of $300 million. MBEs are good business for our businesses and will be for decades to come.
