H-3 helicopter Legacy Models
A proud history that continues into tomorrow
The H-3 helicopter program has been a model of success since it's introduction to the U.S. Navy in 1959. Over the next half of a century the H-3 series has ably served the U.S. Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard. Over 200 were produced for international military and commercial customers and its popularity spawned four separate international licensed production programs. Nearly 1,500 aircraft were produced by Sikorsky and its licensees, many of them still in operation today.
