George Klug serves as Vice President, Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) and Chief Safety Officer for Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. He began his career with Sikorsky in 1975.
In his role, Klug is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with government regulations, providing a workplace that is safe from occupational hazards, reducing potential for injury, and protecting the environment. He also leads Sikorsky's aviation and product safety program, including oversight of the Product Safety Board, and ensures timely and effective implementation of Safety Board recommendations.
During his 39 years at Sikorsky, Klug has held various roles of increasing responsibility in Engineering, Operations, Aftermarket, and Quality. Most recently, George held the position of Vice President, Aviation and Product Safety.
Klug holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a master's degree in business administration from University of New Haven, and a master's degree in management science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a UTC Sloan Fellow.
