In past years the Motorcycle Ride and Classic Car Show has attracted hundreds of motorcycles and a wide array of classic and modern cars, trucks and motorcycles that compete for trophies in many categories based on voting by both spectators and judges. The event also includes live music performed by the band Silent Majority. General admission costs $5, and children younger than 12 are admitted for free.
“Sikorsky is proud to sponsor this unique event, which provides a day of great family fun while, longer term, making life a little better for the less fortunate,” said Jeff O’Meara, event chairman and Director of ACE & Lean for Sikorsky. “Poverty, mental and physical illness, unemployment, addictions, school absenteeism and high drop-out rates all remain serious issues in our communities. The greater the turnout on the 16th, the greater the difference we can make together.”
