Helicopter Support, Inc. Services Division Awarded FAA Diamond Award for a Third Year in a Row
The Diamond Award Certificate of Excellence is the Federal Aviation Administration's highest training award. The award recognizes employers with 100 percent employee participation in a FAA-approved aviation maintenance training program.
"This award has a special meaning for us because it best represents our commitment to training, quality and safety, and could only be achieved through our strong partnership with the FAA," said Samir Mehta, HSI President. "We are honored to win the Diamond Award for the third year in a row."
In addition, the program offers five levels of recognition for employees, with the Diamond award being the highest honor for an employee and the Ruby award being the second highest honor. Five HSI aviation maintenance technicians were awarded the Diamond award and 43 technicians earned the Ruby award.
"This award highlights our commitment to our employees and our customers and a continued investment in the future of our business. We are proud to maintain a strong culture of training, continuous improvement, and attention to quality. This recognition is welcome validation that our efforts are hitting the mark," said Anthony Yacoviello, Vice President, Services.
The FAA recognizes employers and aviation maintenance technicians who participate in a training program that offers both initial and recurrent aviation maintenance training/courses to improve safety and technical knowledge. In 2008, HSI technicians completed 10,291 hours in product specific, helicopter instruction, safety and FAA regulatory compliance training.
