The newly designed Web site, www.hsius.com, was upgraded to help deliver experience, global reach, and strong support to its customers, said Sam Mehta, Vice President, Business Operations for Worldwide Customer Service.
"The Web site standardizes HSI's marketing efforts by incorporating the same look and feel as our I-brochure and really presents us more effectively as a cutting edge organization," Mehta said.
The site provides customers with a new interface but the same functionality of the former site, so customers can check order status, submit RFQ's, perform stock checks and retrieve price lists. Customers can log in using their same user IDs and passwords. Functionality for suppliers includes the ability to check purchase order status, request changes to promise dates and review purchase order history.
The site currently has 500 users, 60 customers and 300 suppliers.
